Trump Slams George W. Bush’s HYPOCRISY Over Coronavirus Interjection

(FreedomJournal.Org)- President Donald Trump hit back at former Republican President George W. Bush over a video published recently, in which bush calls for people to break free from the usual partisanship during the outbreak. But there’s more to the story.

The video message published on Saturday had 4.4 million views by Sunday morning. While it was portrayed as a call for unity, asking Americans to help people in need and protect the vulnerable, President Donald Trump recognized it as a thinly-veiled attempt to lay blame at his administration’s feet.

“Let us remember how small our differences are in the faces of this shared threat,” Bush can be heard saying. “In the final analysis we are not partisan combatants, we are human beings equally vulnerable and equally wonderful in the sight of God. We rise or fall together, and we are determined to rise.”

Trump was quick to note that Bush, who pushed the importance of working together, was completely absent during the Trump impeachment proceedings.

In a tweet, President Donald Trump quoted Fox News “Fox and Friends” co-host Pete Hegseth, who said, “I appreciate the message from former President Bush, but where was he during impeachment calling for putting partisanship aside?”

Trump added, “He was nowhere to be found in speaking up against the greatest Hoax in American history!”

He has a point, right? President George W. Bush was nowhere to be seen during the impeachment proceedings. Only the most die-hard Democrats supported the impeachment, owing to the fact it was based on zero evidence – which is why the president was ultimately not removed from office.

Was this a good-faith interjection?
