(FreedomJournal.org)- President Donald Trump doesn’t do things by halves, and when he hosted his first-ever virtual fundraiser recently, his team took in more than $20 million in donations from some 300,000 donors. That’s exactly the kind of grassroots funding that got President Trump elected in the first place.
Kimberly Guilfoyle, the chair of the Trump Victory Finance Committee, said it is a “great day for the president and for the country showing the robust enthusiasm for President Donald Trump.”
She said on Tuesday that the American people “want four more years.”
“We had over 300,000 people log on for our event tonight to donate the president,” Guilfoyle added. “We raised over $20 million in the first-ever of its kind virtual Zoom event.”
How long until the Democrats are pushing Zoom to ban the president from using their platform?
$20 million in just one fundraising event performed online is an incredible feat, and vastly different to the kind of money being pulled in by star-studded Democrat events. While the polls continue to show Biden with a lead over President Trump, just like they did in 2016, celebrities are chipping in hundreds of thousands of dollars at a time to try and get their candidate elected. President Donald Trump, on the other hand, is raising money, funnily enough, in a similar way to Bernie Sanders.
He’s asking for support from his millions of supporters, and taking in huge sums through small contributions.
President Donald Trump and his re-election campaign team have ramped up their online efforts recently, with the president’s son Donald Trump, Jr. taking center stage. Trump, Jr. hosted the event with his partner Kimberly Guilfoyle as well as the president’s youngest daughter, Tiffany Trump.
Steven Mnuchin, the Treasury Secretary who has worked tirelessly to ensure the American people were given financial support during the COVID crash, also appeared at the event alongside Mark meadows, the White House Chief of Staff.
“This shows the momentum that the president has that everyday Americans are choosing President Donald Trump,” Guilfoyle added. “The silent majority is speaking up with a willingness and a desire to vote for four more years on Nov. 3.”
