Trump Flies Air Force One Over Amazed Daytona Race Crowd

( – President Donald Trump really knows how to make an entrance.

Attending the annual NASCAR race at the Daytona International Speedway, President Trump put on a show for the thousands of attendees by swooping Air Force One around the speedway and even doing a lap in The Beast.

This year, Trump was invited to be the grand marshal for the race, and the incredible show of American power and technological ability in the form of Air Force One flying low over the stadium made the event one to remember. The plane is believed to have gone as low as 800 feet, creating a spectacle few had ever seen before.

One Fox commentator said, “I have been to a lot of Daytona 500S…never have I felt the excitement and energy. We’ve got great racing on the track but we’ve got the president landing right now, the fans are pumped up, I mean, wow, what a day!”

After his dramatic entrance, the president gave a speech to a crowd of waving flags, announcing, “My fellow race fans, the Daytona 500 is a legendary display.

“Rubber will burn, fans will scream, and the Great American Race will begin!” he announced, as the crowd starting chanting “USA, USA!”

The fun didn’t end there, either. If the Air Force One display wasn’t enough, Trump’s motorcade then went onto the track and took a lap as people watched in amazement. Trump’s presidential limousine, known as The Beast, is a 22,000lb machine with bullet-proof windows and a truck chassis. It couldn’t keep the 70mph speed required to stay up on the banks, owing to the vehicle’s weight, but the crowd still cheered.

The vehicle has run-flat tires, smoke grenades, and even a tear gas cannon. It’s the first time any such vehicle has taken to the track, and may well be the last. You can see the vehicle take the lap in the video below.

The president thanked the “tens of thousands of patriots” who gathered for the event, telling them that whoever wins the game, “what matters most is God, family and country.”
