(FreedomJournal.Org)- Republican Senator Rand Paul of Kentucky announced on Tuesday that he is putting on his medical coat and getting back to work in a local hospital to help the treatment of COVID-19 patients. Paul was the first U.S. senator to be diagnosed with the disease and has since recovered.
In a tweet, Paul thanked people for the support he received.
“I appreciate all the best wishes I have received,” he said. “I have been retested and I am negative. I have started volunteering at a local hospital to assist those in my community who need medical help, including Coronavirus patients. Together we will overcome this!”

Paul first tested positive for the virus on March 22, causing great concern to supporters all over the country. The libertarian Republican senator was particularly vulnerable as a result of surgery he had in 2017. Paul had a small portion of his lung removed after being assaulted by his neighbour.
Following the incident, Paul suffered pneumonia but eventually recovered. However, anybody with previous conditions related to the respiratory system and lungs is more likely to suffer extreme symptoms of the coronavirus.
Paul did not offer any more detail about his volunteering, but he received wide praise online.
However, one anti-Republican activist and television host shocked people by responding extremely negatively to Paul’s generous offer of help.
“F*ck you, asshole,” wrote Richard Metzger, the former host of a TV show called “Disinformation.”
Fuck you, asshole.

At a time when people should be coming together to fight this deadly virus, it seems that the left (or anybody just opposed to the Republicans) are more interested in sewing division.
