Prince William Is Sad And Shocked By Harry And Markle’s Response

( Following the marriage of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in 2018, a rift emerged between Prince William and his brother…and following a disrespectful statement from Harry and Meghan last week, that rift has reportedly grown wider.

Following the announcement by Queen Elizabeth II that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, would lose their Royal patronages, the couple released a statement that insulted the Queen.

“As evidenced by their work over the past year, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex remain committed to their duty and service to the U.K. and around the world and have offered their continued support to the organizations they have represented regardless of official role. We can all live a life of service,” the statement from Harry and Meghan reads. “Service is universal.”

The statement caused controversy in the United Kingdom, with media outlets and the British people seeing it as a slight on the Queen, who has dedicated nearly 70 years of her life to public service as the nation’s head of state.

Prince William was reportedly disappointed with the statement, with sources close to the future British King saying that he is “very upset by what has happened.” The same source also claimed that William believes the statement from the formerly royal couple was “insulting and disrespectful.”

“You don’t answer the Queen back – it’s just not done,” another insider told The Sunday Times newspaper.

A friend of Prince William also said that the parting is “still raw” and that the prince is “very upset by what has happened, though absolutely intent that he and Harry’s relationship will heal in time.”

The Queen not only stripped the couple of their royal patronages, following their decision to leave their roles in the royal family and pursue a Hollywood career instead, but she also removed Harry’s military titles. Buckingham Palace issued a statement described how Harry’s appointment as the captain-general of the Royal Marines, along with his other titles, will revert to the Queen and be redistributed to other working members of the Royal Family.

Harry will also lose his patronage with the Invictus Games competition, an event that he founded to help wounded soldiers.

A life of Royal privilege comes with a lot of duties…and running off to California to play social justice politics and do podcasts means you can’t perform those duties.
