(FreedomJournal.org)- Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer might be facing a challenger in the “least liked politician in the country” contest, in the form of her Attorney General. Dana Nessel attacked the 77-year-old barber, Karl Manke, who won the heart of the nation when he reopened his barbershop despite the strict lockdown orders put in place by the state.
Attorney General Nessel slammed the barber as “not a patriot” for going against the rules put in place by Gretchen Whitmer, and while she didn’t go as far as arresting Make, she did strip him of his operating license on Tuesday.
AG @dananessel says she doesn’t plan on arresting Owosso Barber Karl Manke, but she does have a message for him and his supporters.
“He’s not a hero. He’s not a patriot.”

Just think about that for a second. A 77-year-old barber known throughout his community in Owosso, who provides an important service for many people, has been stripped of his license to operate. Opening up his barbershop to give people haircuts, even while wearing a mask, is enough for Attorney General Nessel to completely destroy his business.
In the video above, you’ll hear Nessel saying, “We’re not looking to throw people in jail,” and that she considers it a “last resort.”
Wouldn’t arresting him have been better than completely shutting down his business?
Speaking specifically about the barber, Nessel explained, “We want him to discontinue his conduct, which we think is aiding and abetting the spread of the virus.”
“Mr. Manke…he’s not a hero, he’s not a patriot,” she added. “A patriot is a person that fights all enemies, foreign and domestic, and does everything possible to protect his fellow countrymen and countrywomen. To me, Mr. Manke is doing just the opposite of that and he’s being selfish in his behavior.”
And at that point, she revealed her bias. Many people disagree with Nessel and Governor Whitmer about the nature of this lockdown. Many people say that destroying the economy is not a patriotic thing to do, too. Nessel suggested that Manke was responsible for “allowing the virus to spread,” but provided no evidence to back up her claim.
Do the Democrats in charge of Michigan think they’ll be re-elected if they treat their electorate like this?
