(FreedomJournal.org)- NBA legends Shaquille O’Neal and Charles Barkley hit back at far-left rioters and leftists on Thursday night when they defended the officers who shot and killed Breonna Taylor. The two former football stars made the comments after a grand jury found that no officer was directly responsible for the death of Taylor, who died when officers returned fire at her boyfriend during an arrest.
On Wednesday, following a grand jury judgment that brought forth charges of wanton endangerment against an officer who was fired following the shooting, O’Neal and Barkley blasted those who push a narrative that this was an injustice.
“It’s bad the young lady lost her life, but, you know, we do have to take into account that her boyfriend did shoot at the cops and shot a cop,” Barkley explained. “So like I said, even though I’m really sorry she lost her life, I don’t think that we can just we can put this in the same situation with George Floyd and Ahmaud Arbery, I just don’t believe that.”
Barkley made the comments during a pregame show on TNT for the Los Angeles Lakers and Denver Nuggets game. O’Neal them chimed in, saying he agreed with Barkley’s analysis.
“I have to agree with Charles, this one is sort of lumped in,” he said. “You have to get a warrant signed and some states do allow no-knock warrants. And everyone was aking for murder charges. When you talk about murder, you have to show intent. A homicide occurred and we’re sorry a homicide occurred, when you have a warrant signed by the judge, you are doing your job, and I would imagine that you would fire back.”
During the same show, Barkley expressed his disbelief about the way people are reacting to the judgment.
“We have to really be careful on these, you know, I hear these fools on TV talking about ‘defund the police’ and things like that,” he said. “We need police reform and prison reform and things like that because you know who ain’t going to defund the cops? White neighborhoods and rich neighborhoods.”
Somehow, those comments were considered controversial, and the two football legends instantly became the focus of a social media hate campaign.
The Daily Mail listed some of the most shocking comments made in opposition to the two African American football players, with one person claiming they were “throwing Black women under the bus” and another saying “Not all skin folk is kin folk.”
You hear that? If you’re black and you disagree with Black Lives Matter…you ain’t black, or something.
Isn’t that right, Joe Biden?
