(FreedomJournal.com) – Over the last week, Senator Ted Cruz and Rep. Paul Gosar released statements announcing they were going into self-isolation after interacting with a coronavirus patient during the Conservative Political Action Conference. It was reported that the attendee, who is also believed to have attended the America Israel Public Affairs Committee conference, was diagnosed with coronavirus after interacting with politicians and members of the public.
In a Tweet published on Tuesday, American Conservative Union Chairman Matt Schlapp announced that the attendee in question is recovering well.
“Great news,” Schlapp wrote. “Our @CPAC attendee who came w Corona is making steady progress back to health in NJ.”
The ACU chair encouraged readers to keep those afflicted with the virus in their prayers.
Great news. Our @CPAC attendee who came w Corona is making steady progress back to health in NJ. Let’s all keep those facing this health challenge in our prayers.

Senator Ted Cruz, while in self-isolation, is reportedly in good health and feeling fine. Regardless, as a precaution, he has vowed to stay at home in Texas for a week until it is completely safe for him to interact with his constituents.
Rep. Paul Gosar of Arizona announced on the same day that he and three of his senior members of staff are also under self-isolation, though nobody is currently exhibiting symptoms.
Gosar was at the center of a media storm following his announcement, after referring to the virus in a tweet as the “Wuhan Virus.” The Republican lawmaker was referring to the fact that the virus originated in Wuhan, China.
1. I am announcing that I, along with 3 of my senior staff, are officially under self-quarantine after sustained contact at CPAC with a person who has since been hospitalized with the Wuhan Virus. My office will be closed for the week.

Blue checkmarks came out in force denouncing Gosar, with one writer labeling him a “racist f*ck.”
