Did the University of Texas Work with the Wuhan Lab? Education Department Investigates…

(FreedomJournal.Org)- The U.S. Department of Education is officially investigating the University of Texas System over the possibility that it worked with the Wuhan Institute of Virology, an infectious disease laboratory where the Chinese coronavirus is believed to have originated.

Federal investigators have begun a probe into the University of Texas System, starting with a request for all documents relating to contracts with the lab and researchers Shi Zhengli, who is believed to specialize in the study of bats. The Wall Street Journal reports that it is part of a larger investigation that is looking into the University of Texas’s potential links to China and dozens of state-owned companies in China.

The investigation is also exploring possible links between the University of Texas and the CEO of Zoom Communications, the company that facilitates millions of video conferences online, Eric Yuan. Yuan has denied ever working personally with the University of Texas, but any connection could be significant as Zoom has powered several videoconferences between high-level government officials. The video conferencing network has even been used by British Members of Parliament.

This is all more relevant and important than ever as U.S. government officials now believe the evidence points to the virus originated at the Wuhan Institute of Virology. Once considered a fringe conspiracy theory, the idea that the virus originated in a lab that studies viruses is being accepted by governments all over the world. Last month, U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo confirmed to Fox News that the federal government is investigating the precise origin of the virus.

President Donald Trump also said on Thursday that he has been presented evidence that gives him a “high degree of confidence” that the Chinese coronavirus did, in fact, originate at the laboratory.

The investigation into the University of Texas is part of a wider project by the U.S. government to see just how much influence China exerts over American institutions and businesses. Universities have taken over $6.5 billion in foreign funding, which includes money from China and other countries that are hostile to the United States.

Communist China has expanded its global influence over the last few decades, and after showing a huge lack of transparency following the outbreak of the coronavirus, that has become a particular concern to the United States and G7 nations.

Don’t expect the investigations to stop any time soon. The jig is up for China!
