(FreedomJournal.org)- Pennsylvania’s Dem-leaning Supreme Court sided with the Democrats on Thursday, agreeing to allow the counting of mail-in ballot papers for as long as three days after election day. It comes as tensions mount over continued Democrat plans to implement mass mail-in voting that could result in weeks or months of legal challenges over the 2020 presidential election results.
The Supreme Court of Pennsylvania, one of the most important swing states in any election, reportedly granted a request by the Democratic Party to extend the deadline for counting ballots for three days after the election day. It means that the results of the election could be delayed significantly should Pennsylvania be the deciding Electoral College vote…presuming other states are taking additional days to count, too.
As part of the ruling, the use of “satellite election offices and drop boxes” has been authorized to help deal with the huge number of mail-in ballots expected. Democrats have urged voters to use the mail-in system citing concerns about the Chinese coronavirus, despite the fact that people leave their homes every day and even people who are concerned about social distancing tend to go to the supermarket safely.
Even White House Coronavirus Task Force advisor Dr. Anthony Fauci has said it is possible for people to vote at the ballot box safely.
“I think if carefully done according to the guidelines, there’s no reason that I can see why that not be the case,” Dr. Fauci said in response to a question about voting in person during a National Geographic interview. Fauci specifically referenced how grocery stores use marks to keep people six feet apart, and said ballot stations could simply do the same.
And while that will likely be happening, many people will be voting from home. And many people might end up voting using ballot papers sent to them by accident. Some people may even engage in ballot harvesting. Who knows at this point?
This wouldn’t be the first time Pennsylvania has seen chaos with mail-in ballots. In June, during the Democratic primaries, Pennsylvania was delayed significantly owing to the fact they implemented no-excuse absentee voting. It meant that people who didn’t even request a ballot were sent one, meaning over 1.4 million ballots were sent across the state which not only overloaded the system designed to cope with ballots but delayed the outcome of the primary race by weeks.
Now imagine that chaos multiple several times over. Are we meant to believe the whole thing will go smoothly? In something as important as a presidential election, you might think the Democrats would care more about accuracy.
