(FreedomJournal.org)- As the almost inevitability of a Joe Biden administration looms, the communist Chinese government praised the former vice president for promising to make relations with the country normal again.
Yep. Joe Biden is promising to cooperate with the authoritarian dictatorship that unleashed COVID-19 on the world, devalues its currency, and steals American intellectual property. What could go wrong?
State-owned propaganda network CGTN aired an interview with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi this week, in which he said that “China-US relations have come to a new crossroads, and a new window of hope is opening.”
After years of American growth, it sounds like Joe Biden is about to once again make America dependent on China.
“We hope that the next US administration will return to a sensible approach, resume dialogue with China, restore normalcy to the bilateral relations, and restart cooperation,” he added.
It would be a stark difference to the Trump administration’s successful approach of pushing tariffs and promoting American industry. If Trump-era policies change, then America is about to once again see businesses flee for China while American workers are left in the dirt.
Yi described US-China relations has having run into “unprecedented difficulties” and said that the United States has a “serious misconception” about the communist nation.
“Some see China as the so-called biggest threat and their China policy based on this misperception is simply wrong,” he claimed. The Foreign Minister also accused the president of trying to start a “new Cold War.”
Over the last year, President Donald Trump’s administration has gone to great efforts to reduce China’s ability to steal American secrets and hurt the nation’s economy. While Joe Biden repeatedly promised to capitulate to China during his presidential campaign, President Trump and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo responded to a series of threats from China by shutting down the Chinese consulate in Houston, which attempted to steal US COVID-19 vaccine research.
The Trump administration also shut down several cultural exchange programs that were being used by China for propaganda purposes and even banned officials of the Chinese Communist Party from entering the United States.
Yi said that the country is ready to work with the United States on a “relationship based on coordination” but that it requires the United States respecting the “social system and development path chosen by the Chinese people.”
It looks like the next four years will be a return to Obama-era Chinese policy that capitulates to communists.
